SNAILFLY 260 lbs Aluminum Roof Rack Cross Bars for 2007-2026 Jeep Wrangler JK/JL Gladiator 2 & 4 Door

These cross bars fit my Jeep well and have a nice low-profile look. Installation was fairly easy, and they feel sturdy once mounted. The matte finish looks good with the Jeep and doesn’t stick up too high. Overall, a solid set of cross bars for the price.

Looks good, easy to install. Only issues is that the cool jeep stickers fell off right away.

Installed on 2022 4 dr Sahara.Some reported poor packaging and scratches but mine arrived well packed and protected with bubble wrap.Absolutely no instructions, but not difficult. The description states that the longer bar should go in the rear but, as some buyers mentioned, it seems about an inch too long. I realized that the roof actually gets narrower towards the rear so if you attempt to mount the rear bar too far to the rear it will be too long. You have to keep it about 15” forward, then it fits. Having said that, I still wanted the rear bar closer to the rear so I swapped it with the shorter front bar. The length of the front bar was perfect for the rear and the longer rear bar fit fine just above the rear doors where the top curves slightly wider.One issue I had was with the rubber cushions that need to be installed into the channel in each crossbar. Since there were no instructions, I had to figure out how to insert them and that wasn’t easy. I tried pushing them in but no luck. I ended up slathering them and the bar with liquid hand soap and pulling them through the channel using needle nose pliers. I then had to make sure, since the rubber was now stretched, to use a rubber mallet to coax them into relaxing back to the proper length prior to trimming them. I didn’t want big gaps in the ends later.Also, the mounting clamps were very difficult to get into the gutters. I had to loosen the cap screws almost to the point of them falling out.The rack seems sturdy enough. We’ll see how my 2 person fishing kayak sits on it.

Pro tips for you:1. No instructions figure it out as you go.2. The rubber inserts are difficult to install. Push the back side in and use a screwdriver to push the front side into the groove. This takes about ten minutes per rail unless you’re Superman.3. There are two lengths, the longer goes in the front.4. Study the pictures of the clamps and emulate that. It’s not obvious how they clamp if you don’t.Once you figure it out they mount solidly. Took away 1 star for no instructions.

Fits the hard top perfectly and our 25 year old Sears carrier bolted right on. They have slight flex to them when the carrier is loaded but I don’t see it as a negative.So far we’ve driven 800 miles during a nor eastern storm under high wind and no issues.

These look great and are very functional. The black rubber strip on top doesn't allow anything to slide around up there. These clamp on to your roof rail. DO NOT remove the screws completely from the roof rack clamping areas! I did that and it took me a VERY long time to align the screws back in. Sheesh. Just back the screws out as far as possible and then the roof rack clamps will slide down onto the roof rail.
